They said police responded to reports of a shooting at a home located on Hazelwood Road, southeast of Lakeshore Road and South of Division Road West.
Police said a single male suspect was shot and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
In a news release late Monday, Police said two female victims and the male suspect were found dead inside the home.
“The deaths appear to be from gunshot wounds, and police are not looking for any further suspects,” the release reads.
Toronto Police previously confirmed that Monday’s shooting is related to two other investigations.
Monday morning, police said they believe a suspect targeted a Mississauga home over the weekend and murdered two victims. One of the victims was a woman, police said.
The first was a 34-year-old man in his 40s who was found in his SUV with gunshot wounds to the head outside a home on Harwick Crescent.
In the second incident, a 40-year-old man was found dead inside an apartment near Mortimer Avenue and Derry Road.
Investigators do not believe the victims knew the suspect.
The suspect was found in the home and was also hospitalized, police said.
“These violent incidents are still very fresh in our minds and we would like to get the facts right,” said Staff Inspector Jerry Williams.
Police said the investigation was in its early stages, and the public should not approach the home or the suspect.
Williams added that the scene had not been secured as of Monday afternoon.
Police said on Monday that the relationship between the suspect and the victims remains unknown.
“It’s important that we understand the motive behind the shooting,” the release reads.
“This is a tragedy and we’re hoping the public’s assistance will help us determine what happened.”
Neighbours were surprised to hear about the multiple police presence in the area on Monday.
One neighbor said she witnessed paramedics treating a man who appeared to be dead in a neighbour’s backyard on Monday.
An investigation is ongoing.Q:
